300g (10 oz) thinly sliced steak (e.g. sirloin, striploin, rib eye, rump)
400g (14 oz) fresh thin Chinese egg noodles
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
¼ small red cabbage, cut into bite-sized chunks
¼ cup finely sliced spring onions
1 tsp sesame oil
Marinade:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Chinese Shaoxing wine
½ tsp baking soda
3 tsp corn flour (cornstarch)
Stir-fry sauce:
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp Chinese Shaoxing wine
1 tsp dark soy sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp corn flour (cornstarch)
