What noodles are best for stir-fry?

If you are a newbie when it comes to noodle recipes, specifically stir fried noodles, and you’re not totally sure on what noodles to choose – we’ve got you! There are so many different noodles to choose from, and the good news is, they’re all pretty darn good when it comes to stir-frying! 


You can pretty much use whatever noodles you like best for your stir-fries, there’s stir fried udon recipes, rice noodle recipes, soba noodle recipes there is even stir fried glass noodle recipes. You can choose whatever noodles you fancy and stir-fry away! 


What goes with stir-fry noodles?

One of the best things about stir fried noodles is the fact that they are totally customisable to whatever it is you like OR have on hand in your fridge and pantry. You can use whatever proteins you fancy, chicken, seafood, beef, pork or even  lamb! Whatever noodles you fancy, and of course whatever veg you like to include or whatever veg you’ve got floating around in the depths of your crisper. 


You can change up your stir-fry sauce based on your own personal taste, turn up the heat or dial it right down. Add more funk from fish sauce or more salty, umami goodness from soy. SO many ways to stir-fry…how will you ever have the time to try them all? 


Do you cook noodles before stir-fry?

Yes! Be sure to not overcook your noodles though as they will continue to cook throughout the stir-frying process. You want to cook your noodles until they are JUST done, then add them to your wok and stir through all that goodness!
