2 cups coconut milk
½ cup water
½ cup white sugar
1 tsp sea salt
6 medium ripe bananas, peeled and cut into chunks*
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil then turn the heat down a little and simmer for 10 minutes or until bananas have softened slightly.
Serve warm or room temperature.
In Thailand we use a variety of banana called gluay nam wah. You could use lady finger bananas instead. Try to use bananas that are almost ripe but not too soft or overripe.
