It’s the most wonderful time of the year… which means an influx of delicious but easy Christmas recipes. And prepare yourselves, because I’ve got a countdown of wondrousness that doesn’t disappoint. My take on the 12 days of Christmas covers all bases, no matter the climes in which you’ll be celebrating. From baked beauties to chargrilled epicness (and a festive ham for good measure, naturally), these are the recipes to covet.

Marion’s 12 Days of Christmas

Move over, partridges: I’ve got your new true loves in store with these Christmas recipes, from appetisers and sides to cocktails and desserts.

How to mix the best cocktails this Christmas? This 12 days of Christmas cooler is a great start!

I’m kicking off my 12 days of Christmas with a cocktail full of fruity fabulousness. This Vodka, Cherry and Pink Grapefruit Cooler is full of tartness from the muddled cherries, plus citrus notes and a hint of fizz from Fever-Tree’s Pink Grapefruit Soda. A dash of premium vodka keeps things in the adults-only camp, but you could totally ditch that for a non-alcoholic cocktail recipe to treasure. Now it’s time to don that Santa hat, raise your glass, and say merci, mon cherry.

Barbecued King Prawns with Lemongrass Butter

With my half-Aussie background, it felt only right for me to mention charry prawns on the barbecue this year… nothing quite sums up an Australian Christmas like it! These cracking crustaceans are bursting with lemongrass flavours. And don’t get me started on that nuoc cham sauce – it doesn’t get much better.

Peachy Long Island Iced Tea

Oooh, this one’s a goodie… and perfect for sharing! Serve this beautiful blend of spirits and peach notes in a pitcher and then get ready to spill the tea – just not literally – with your loved ones.

Sticky Chilli Ginger Ham

Nothing sums up Christmas more to me than a glazed ham. Served warm or cold, it’s always satisfying. And it’s also ideal to use up as leftovers… unless it all gets demolished on the big day, that is.

Chin, chin – it’s time for a party punch! This cocktail recipe is ideal for celebrations – I love how the pinot grigio base pairs perfectly with the fruity notes. And those ice cubes! So stunning, they’re enough to make you melt.

This one’s an edible masterpiece. Candied ginger and cherries create a warm buzz of mild festive spice and tangy fruitiness you can’t say no to. Everyone will be talking about this one for years to come, guaranteed.

Don’t forget to look after your non-drinkers at your Christmas soiree with this alcohol-free cocktail offering. Floral, fresh, frozen… and pretty darn fabulous.

Epic Korean Potato Salad

It’s got the word ‘epic’ in its recipe title, so it must be true! This beautiful Korean-inspired salad marries creamy potatoes with sweet, juicy apple and a delectable cabbage crunch. My favourite part? The delicate hum of chilli thanks to those gorgeous gochugaru flakes.

Honey Soy Butterflied Chicken

Fire up the barbie and char that bird – this is one chicken to make it into the family-favourite recipe book. Because it doesn’t always have to be about turkey come Christmas.

Sorry, kids: these ice pops are off-limits for little folk! Although you could absolutely rustle up a batch of these cool treats minus the vodka for an alcohol-free or child-friendly alternative.

This is my kind of sandwich! Not only do these sweet treats look tempting as anything, they couldn’t be easier to make. Arm yourself with just three ingredients… and get ready for a simple, zero-baking Christmas dessert this holiday season.

Meet the everyday sipper to round off my 12 days of Christmas in style: my Blood Orange Whisky Collins. One slurp and you’ll feel like an extra in Mad Men

Phew, what a 12 days of Christmas round-up! The festive season never looked tastier.
